JOB SUMMARY
This hourly, non-exempt full-time position requires a thorough understanding of aircraft interiors in addition to an advanced knowledge of upholstered items found in aircraft interiors. Job Duties and Responsibilities:
The Lay-up Technician assembles airplane components by laying composites and materials such as pre-impregnated fiberglass cloth onto molds by performing the following duties.
- Responsible for the hand layup of advanced composite materials on designated tooling per specific work instructions and customer specifications.
- Performs advance composite operations to include molding, trimming, vacuum-bagging, basic repair, material preparation, weighing, molding, finishing, and secondary machine operations.
- Inspection of in-process and finished product using hand measurement tools and other tests procedures may be required.
- Record keeping of inspection results where required.
- Must be able to demonstrate an understanding of how work orders and lay-up charts ensure the quality of the product while providing suggestions for improvement

Maintenance Utility Worker Job Duties and Responsibilities:

Must be able to read and write English and be able to comprehend and apply information contained in technical manuals. Requires high school diploma or G.E.D. Must possess basic understanding of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic disciplines as they apply to aircraft systems. Must meet the physical requirements which qualify a person to perform essential job functions. Must be able to multi-task and work under pressure. To qualify for this position you must: • Have a valid driver's license • Be at least 18 years of age • Be able to pass an extensive background check, drug test and audiogram • Be authorized to work in the US • Have the ability to work a flexible schedule including weekends and holidays
